Once you have logged in to the Radius Charge app, you will be able to see your charge points. If you have more than one charge point, you will be able to swipe the screen to switch between them.
When you open the app, you will be directed to a screen similar to the below:
To begin a charging session, click the 'Charge' button.
If you have a schedule set:
- Clicking 'Charge' will open the session, ready for power delivery during your scheduled time.
If you do not have a schedule set
- Power delivery will begin after clicking 'Charge'.
Your app will show you the charging status as the charger periodically sends updates to the app.
If you do not have a schedule set:
Once the vehicle is plugged in and/or you have clicked the 'Charge' button, you will see a screen titled ‘Preparing’. If you see this screen and haven’t yet connected your vehicle to the charger, please do so now.
You will then be brought to a screen titled ‘Initiating charge’. This screen is shown briefly while there are checks between the charger and the vehicle. E.g. connection status, battery status etc.
Once power delivery has started, you will see a screen titled ‘Charging’. This screen will be shown throughout the charging session. During this time, you can exit and re-enter the app without disrupting the charging session to check the total charge and the average charge rate.
If your vehicle is still connected, but the charger stops delivering power or the vehicle stops accepting power, you will see a screen titled ‘No longer charging’. This is usually displayed when the vehicle has stopped accepting power due to the maximum charge level being reached.
At this point, your charging session is still open.
To stop the charging session remotely, click the ‘Finish’ button. This will unlock the vehicle’s connector. You can also unlock your vehicle’s connector via the vehicle or manufacturer app (if available).
If you have a schedule set:
You will see the times the schedule is set for on the main screen. The charger status will show as available if there is no vehicle yet plugged in.
Once you have plugged in a vehicle, the charger status will change to preparing.
After you click 'Charge', you will be brought to a screen titled ‘Initiating charge’. This screen is shown during the period between starting the charging session and the start of power delivery (the start time of your schedule). This will also include the checks between the charger and the vehicle. E.g. connection status, battery status etc.
You can use the 'Charge now' button to charge instantly without interrupting your set schedule.
This could be displayed as the end of the schedule time is reached, or the vehicle has stopped accepting power due to the maximum charge level being reached.
At this point, your charging session is still open.
To stop the charging session remotely, click the ‘Finish’ button. This will unlock the vehicle’s connector. You can also unlock your vehicle’s connector via the vehicle or manufacturer app (if available).
